![]() The Selection menu has a number of entries related to multiple cursors. There is no built in way to create additional cursors, wherever you want in the document, only by keyboard. This can also be toggled from the Selection menu. Not sure which version added this but ctrl + alt + arrow up or down now works. ctrlCmd - Maps to Ctrl on Windows and Cmd on macOS.In Atom and Sublime, I can just do a Cmd + a to select everything, hit. I know I can use Cmd + / to select multiple lines but depending on the size of the file that takes a while. It happens from time to time that I need to edit 100+ lines in a text file all at once. Each cursor operates independently based on the context it sits in. You can add secondary cursors (rendered thinner) with Alt+Click. The editor.multiCursorModifier can be set to either: Turn multiline selection into multi cursor selection in VSCode. VS Code supports multiple cursors for fast simultaneous edits. Alt+Shift+I extend cursor selections to end of line.This works from the menu but not from the keyboard shortcut. (Similar to selecting text and then Ctrl+F2). Pressing Home will move them all to the beginning of the line, and pressing End will move then all to the end. ![]()
